First kicks

Last visit to the doctor, she said I should feel the baby's kick that week or the week after. I've been waiting and waiting, but nothing happened. I was a little bit worried. Then I read online, someone said they didn't feel the first kick until 24 weeks. It eased my mind.

Yesterday, Jul. 11, 2009 at 8:30am, I felt the baby's kick for the first time. It was not really a kick. It was like a flick. I waited for the second time to confirm. It was a great joy to just feel that little flick. Then I woke Thuy up and let him know that. He talked to the baby and asked him/her to kick again for him. After a few times, the baby kicked again. He was so happy that the baby listened to him :).

I never imagined a little thing like that would make us so happy. I guess this is the beginning of the happy journey. I will feel so happy with the first move, first flip, first walk, first talk ...etc.

Anyway, for the record, the baby kicked the first time around 20 weeks - 5 months.
