Our wedding was on Jun. 30th, 2001. But actually, to celebrate an anniversary, I really don't know for sure which date I should celebrate. Should I celebrate the first date when anh Thuy started telling me about his feelings - Oct. 31, 1996? Or should I celebrate the night we both knelt down in St. Peter's Cathedral in NY City on the New Year's Eve of 1997 and asked God to witness our "secret" marriage? Or should I celebrate the date we took each other to court to legally become husband and wife on Jun. 18th, 1999? Well, to me, none of those dates are really that important. Because each day seems to be a celebration for me. I don't need a day in a year to remind me how much we love each other or how happy I am with this marriage or this life.
Talking about being happy, I have to thank anh Thuy for first of all, making my life so wonderful; secondly, for teaching me to enjoy and appreciate life.
Anyway, back to the wedding anniversary, even though it's not so important, sometimes, I take this chance to eat out at a fancy restaurant; sometimes, I take this chance to cook some fancy dinner; Or sometimes, I just don't do anything at all. This year, I didn't do anything at all. Because that day, Thuy was busy for lunch and had to teach ESL at night. When I got home, I felt too lazy and sleepy, so I didn't do anything. I enjoyed my day though!
Happy Anniversary to us then!
(P.S. Started on Jun. 29 but finished writing it on Jul. 4th)
